Synopsis

Laios Touden is a knight trying to lead his party through a massive underground dungeon filled with monsters and deadly traps. Normally, adventurers can use magic to resurrect themselves after dying, which lets them learn and retry. But when a dragon devours Laios' sister Falin—a mage in his party—she uses her last bit of power to send everyone back to safety before she's gone for good. Now Laios is determined to push deeper into the dungeon and rescue Falin, though he's nearly broke and poorly equipped. Most of his party bails, but two stick around: Marcille, an elven mage, and Chilchuck, a halfling locksmith. The real problem? They're so strapped for cash they're facing starvation before they can even reach the dragon. That changes when they meet Senshi, a dwarf warrior who's figured out how to cook and safely eat the monsters they fight. With Senshi handling the cooking duties, the group struggles through the dungeon one floor at a time. Along the way, they bond over meals, learn about each other, and discover that sometimes survival means getting creative about where your next dinner comes from.
