Synopsis

Kate and Emilico are now officially living in Shadows House, but they're constantly watched by the Star Bearers—the elite group running the children's wing. The surveillance is suffocating, and the Star Bearers aren't afraid to use harsh methods to maintain control. If Kate and Emilico want any real freedom, they need to climb the ranks and become Star Bearers themselves. The Star Bearers have bigger problems on their hands, though. Someone in a black robe—they call them "Master Robe"—has been sneaking around the children's wing. At first, nobody took the intruder seriously, but then things escalated. Dolls started getting hurt, and all signs pointed back to Master Robe. Suddenly, this mysterious figure became a genuine threat. Kate sees an opportunity. If she solves the Master Robe mystery, it could seriously boost her standing. The problem? There's almost no evidence to work with, suspects everywhere, and Master Robe's actual motivations remain a complete mystery. What seemed like a straightforward investigation turns out to be way more complicated than she bargained for.
