Synopsis

Lü Shu is a sickly but determined teenager who's had to grow up fast. After his parents died, he juggled high school, work, and raising his younger adoptive sister Lü Xiaoyu. That all changes when a car accident jolts his dormant cultivation powers awake—and suddenly his health problems vanish. The catch? He decides to keep it quiet. Nobody really knows what cultivators are or what happens to them, so why draw attention? Meanwhile, an international organization called Tian Luo Di Wang monitors cultivators worldwide. One of their members, Xi Fei, pushes them to start a special cultivation program at Lü Shu's school. Lü Shu gets dragged into it whether he likes it or not. But here's the thing: his power has a dark source. It feeds on negative emotions that his own actions create in other people. That's not something he's eager to broadcast.
