After stumbling into another world, Kurumi Tokisaki spots a white cat and becomes attached to it, only for them to go their separate ways soon after. She eventually runs into Hibiki Higoromo, a white-haired quasi-spirit who fills her in on what's really going on. Turns out they're trapped in some kind of killing game orchestrated by quasi-spirits.
