Synopsis

Youkai—spirits that exist hidden throughout the world—mostly keep to themselves, but some pose a real threat to human life. Kotoko Iwanaga took on the role of "God of Wisdom" to mediate between these two worlds, using her position to solve whatever supernatural problems surface. When she meets Kurou Sakuragawa, a college student nursing a recent breakup, Kotoko senses something off about him despite his ordinary appearance. She's also got a crush on him, so she recruits him to help her deal with youkai cases. Flash forward two years. An idol dies in a tragic accident involving steel beams—it makes headlines everywhere. But then reports start coming in about a faceless woman carrying a steel beam, appearing to people in the dead of night. Kotoko and Kurou team up to investigate what should be a routine job. Except this spirit's got something personal to settle, and the case ends up being way darker than either of them bargained for.
