Synopsis

Hokkaido supposedly holds a fortune in hidden gold, stolen by a man who murdered its original Ainu owners. Before police caught him, he buried it somewhere secret and devised a way to pass along the location—he tattooed maps onto his cellmates' bodies, promising them a cut of the gold if they escaped and found it. In Golden Kamuy's second season, First Lieutenant Tsurumi comes up with a scheme to give the 7th Division an edge in the race for these tattooed skins: he hires a taxidermist to create forgeries that only he can recognize. Meanwhile, Sugimoto, Asirpa, and their group press on with their own hunt after hearing about something odd—a burglar broke into a house in Yubari and discovered taxidermied human corpses inside, including a torso marked with those same mysterious tattoos.
