Synopsis

Kouta Hasegawa is just your average high school guy—except he's got a soft spot for Pompompurin, a cute Golden Retriever-inspired Sanrio character his grandmother gave him years ago. The problem? He got teased about it once and has been embarrassed ever since, convinced that liking this stuff is somehow uncool. Then things get weird. Through a series of random events, Kouta discovers that several other students at his school are also Sanrio fans: the charismatic Yuu Mizuno (who's weirdly popular despite his interests), soccer player Shunsuke Yoshino, library helper and underclassman Ryou Nishimiya, and student council president Seiichirou Minamoto. His new friends basically tell him to get over himself—there's nothing wrong with liking cute characters. So together, they decide to put on a play for the school's cultural festival, determined to turn Kouta's boring school life into something actually fun and memorable.
