Synopsis

During Japan's Edo period, countless sword schools competed for dominance—but none quite like Kyotouryuu, a martial art where the fighter's own body becomes the weapon. Shichika Yasuri is the seventh master of this strange style, living in peaceful isolation with his sister Nanami until Togame shows up and turns his world upside down. Togame's got big ambitions and bigger plans. She wants Shichika to help her hunt down twelve legendary swords called the "Deviant Blades" on behalf of the shogunate. Shichika doesn't really care about the political angle—he's more interested in Togame herself—so he agrees, and the two set off together. What follows is basically a gauntlet. They face off against powerful swordsmen who wield these legendary weapons, plus whoever else wants to stop them from completing their mission. The further they travel, the more dangerous things get. But if they want to survive and actually pull this off, they'll need to trust each other completely.
