Samurai Jam -Bakumatsu Rock-
Bakumatsu Rock
Ryouma Sakamoto is obsessed with rock 'n' roll and isn't shy about it—he walks around town with his electric guitar, eager to prove he's got chops that rival the Shinsengumi idols everyone fawns over. But there's a problem: Japan has basically banned everything except the Shinsengumi's approved "Heaven's Songs." Trying to write or perform anything else gets you in serious trouble. Frustrated by the oppressive rules and what he sees as brainwashing, Ryouma's convinced that his music is the key to real freedom. He teams up with bandmates Shinsaku Takasugi and Kogoru Katsura to hunt down venues willing to let them play. The three of them refuse to quit until rock 'n' roll gets its shot in Japan—and in pushing for it, they start to discover that what they're really fighting for goes way deeper than just music.
