Synopsis

Yusuke Urameshi is basically a delinquent—definitely not the type you'd call angelic. But when he dies saving a kid from traffic, he ends up in the Spirit World. Problem is, his name doesn't appear in the Book of Enma, which means his death was a total mistake. So he gets a second chance, but only if he can pass some tests and become a spirit detective. Now Yusuke works as a half-dead agent for Koenma, the son of the Spirit World's ruler. It's not a bad gig, except when Koenma suddenly gets kidnapped right in the middle of summer break. Yusuke has to drop everything to find him and recover the Golden Seal of King Enma before it falls into the wrong hands—because if anyone other than Enma has it, the Spirit World falls apart. With help from his closest friends, Yusuke heads to Magma Valley to save the guy who essentially saved him and uncover who's behind the whole conspiracy.
