Synopsis

Wei Wuxian is still pretending to be a lunatic from the Lanling Jin Clan while staying at the Cloud Recesses. His old classmate Lan Wangji has discovered a severed demonic arm that radiates such overwhelming dark energy that the two of them need to work together just to contain it. But the arm isn't the only problem—something else is stirring in the Gusu Lan mountains, and it falls on Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji to figure out what's happening and set things right. As more details about Wei Wuxian's past come to light, the story digs deeper into how he fell from grace and turned to demonic cultivation in the first place. The severed arm becomes another test for him—proof that he's genuinely left that dark path behind, not the unhinged sorcerer everyone still thinks he is.
