Things got worse when Germanian soldiers captured Princess Ortfiné "Finé" Fredericka von Eylstadt while she was en route to meet with Britannia. But the capture went sideways—a Germanian transport mission fell apart, and Izetta, the world's last witch, managed to escape. When she spots the princess, Izetta recognizes her from years back and uses her magic to get her away from the soldiers. With Izetta at her side and pledging to defend the country, Elystadt suddenly has a fighting chance against the Germanian war machine.
