Synopsis

The world's gone dark and empty. Hikaru tried her best to stop it, but Cephiro's evil castle took over anyway and now dominates a dead Tokyo. Just as the ice witch Alcyone's about to get her revenge, Lantis shows up and whisks Hikaru away to a magical maze where she has to test her powers. Meanwhile, her friends are being hunted down by Cephiro's warlocks. Umi and Fuu are running through the abandoned city, desperately trying to find the Mashin—these godlike beings that can merge with them and turn them into massive, incredibly powerful warriors. The problem? The Magic Knights are scared, they've got no training, and they're basically on their own. Even with the Mashin on their side, it's not clear if they can actually survive what Cephiro's throwing at them.
