Synopsis

Kino wakes up from a nap and is relieved to see the tower still standing in the distance. It's massive, impossibly tall, stretching into the sky like something pulled straight out of a dream—except it's clearly real. The tower dominates the landscape of the Tower Country, so naturally, Kino and Hermes, the talking motorcycle, decide to ride closer and check it out. What's weird is that the tower isn't even finished. The townspeople are still actively building it, adding to its height. When Kino and Hermes start asking around about where the tower came from and why they're building it, nobody gives them a straight answer. So they stick around and observe—both the tower and the people working on it—trying to figure out what would drive an entire town to pour so much effort into a structure like this. It's the kind of mystery that comes with traveling; there's always something strange to learn if you pay attention.
