Centuries after the original Yamato, this series follows the eighteenth ship to carry the legendary name. A group of Earth teenagers living under the oppressive rule of the Seiren Federation stumble upon the wreckage of the original Earth Federation Battleship Yamato. They manage to swipe its data disk and use it to trick the Seiren's own automated shipyards into building them a brand new Yamato. Now they've got a fully functional battleship and a mission: take on the Seiren Federation.
