Synopsis

In the world of Duel Masters, five great civilizations exist—and skilled players called Kaijudo masters can bring them to life through their card games, turning abstract worlds into tangible reality. Shobu Kirifuda is a talented duelist who dominates the local playground scene. He's got his sights set on following in his father's footsteps and becoming a world-class master, and his first real test is supposed to be winning a local tournament. Instead, he gets completely crushed by Knight, the best Kaijudo master alive. It's a brutal loss, but Shobu remembers the advice his father once gave him—to love the game itself, not just winning—and decides to keep pushing forward. That defeat becomes the real start of his journey to becoming a true master, because honestly, the journey matters way more than the destination.
