Space Battleship Yamato: The New Voyage
Uchuu Senkan Yamato: Aratanaru Tabidachi
It's 2201, and the Yamato is back home after their brutal showdown with Emperor Zordar and the Comet Empire. Sanada, Aihara, and Shima get discharged from the hospital and head to Okita's memorial to pay their respects to the crew they lost. There they run into Tokugawa's son Tasuke, who tells them he's planning to join the Yamato once he finishes cadet school. At his graduation ceremony the next day, things go sideways when Tasuke's boat tips over because all the new cadets are too busy gawking at the Yamato to watch what they're doing. The ship's launch doesn't go smoothly either—the new engine crew keeps hitting the wrong buttons and stalls out—but they eventually manage to get underway. What's supposed to be a straightforward training mission is now beginning.
