Synopsis

Humanity discovered an unlimited energy source called Patia that made trade and travel obsolete—everyone had what they needed. Civilization basically stopped advancing after that. Now the planet's covered in genetically engineered plants that make it nearly impossible to get anywhere. Cient, who runs a fortress city, decides to search for ancient Patia technology and brings his daughter Ruri along. They get separated, and Ruri nearly gets killed by some kind of massive robot weapon left over from the old world. She's rescued by Tekuni, a wandering martial artist training to become a Wazabito fighter.
