X City's most iconic landmark is X Tower, a massive twin-skyscraper complex that represents every Beyblader's ultimate goal. It's the hub for professional Beybattles, and competitors who can fight their way up all hundred floors face the reigning champs, Team Pendragon, at the top. Bird Kazami shows up in the city ready to go pro, but his first qualifying match is a disaster. His teammates bail after the loss, leaving Bird alone. That's when Ekusu Kurosu approaches him—though he's actually hiding his identity under the "Kamen X" persona. Ekusu used to be part of the unbeaten Team Pendragon but wants another shot at climbing the tower. They round out their roster by bringing in Multi Nanairo, a Beyblading prodigy and social media star. The three of them have their own reasons for pushing forward, and they manage to clear the preliminaries, officially forming Team Persona. Now Bird and his crew have to deal with sponsor deals, win over fickle fans, and take down some seriously skilled opponents if they want to reach the top of X Tower.
