Chibi Maruko-chan Movie
Chibi Maruko-chan follows a bratty 9-year-old girl nicknamed Maruko. She's the kind of kid who pranks her grandfather, agonizes over allowance spending, and refuses to sit near boys she finds ugly. Basically, she acts like an actual kid—talking, thinking, and getting into real kid problems. When second term starts, Maruko gets stuck in a small group with two troublemakers who basically boss her around. The pressure at school starts getting to her. As the school's athletic meet draws near, everyone's training hard. Maruko goes through the motions too, though her lazy streak means she shows up late sometimes. Through it all, she notices the two boys in her group are constantly competing with each other, yet their friendship runs surprisingly deep.
