Synopsis

A family friend who happens to be a witch missed Lum's birth celebration due to a mix-up with the invitations. Bitter about it, she cursed the infant Lum: she'd never find happiness with her true love. Cut to the present day. An amusement park has just opened in Tomobiki, and naturally the whole group shows up to check it out. During a magic show, Ataru gets turned into a giant pink hippopotamus—and it's not a trick. He's actually a hippo now. When Lum goes looking for the magician responsible, things spiral into complete weirdness.
