Twelve-year-old Oriko Seki lost her parents in a car accident and moves in with her grandmother at an onsen ryokan called Haru no Ya. She's not alone though—a ghost named Uribou shares the space with her. Between living with a spirit and everything else that comes with the job, Oriko finds herself training to become a ryokan manager. She's reluctant at first, but gradually grows to respect the work and commits to her training seriously. That's where Oriko's journey as a young innkeeper really takes off.
