Synopsis

Humans and Beastmen have a long history of conflict. Beastmen are creatures with the ability to shapeshift thanks to something called the Beast Factor, which has forced them to hide away from society. Anima City exists as a sanctuary where Beastmen can live openly without fear of human persecution. The city's celebrating its 10th anniversary when Michiru Kagemori, an ordinary human, suddenly transforms into a tanuki. She quickly realizes that Anima City isn't quite the paradise she'd imagined—especially after witnessing a bombing in the town square. There she meets Shirou Ogami, a powerful wolf Beastman who's dedicated his life to protecting his kind. As the two team up to track down whoever caused the explosion, they uncover something strange: Michiru is no ordinary Beastman. Her mysterious origins and unusual abilities suggest she might be something far more significant—possibly the key to bridging the gap between humans and Beastmen altogether.
