Yun Arikawa and his partner Haberu Katou are investigating a supposedly haunted house when they pick up strange radio signals that turn out to be way bigger than a local ghost story. They get a call from Mei Kamino, a grad student who's been tracking the same signals using equipment from Yun's company, and things get weird fast. The next day, Yun's back at work at Ootaki Factory, a tech company that's basically a front for conspiracy theorist Gorou Ootaki's lifelong project: building Jet Jaguar, a giant robot. But when flying dinosaur creatures called Rodan show up, attracted to those same strange signals, Jet Jaguar becomes humanity's only real defense. As Yun and Mei dig deeper into why the Rodans appeared, more monsters start crawling out of the ocean—and there's this mysterious red dust showing up everywhere.
