Synopsis

The world has enjoyed peace ever since the Fractale system was established. Everyone lives isolated, sustained by Fractale terminals implanted in their bodies, free to pursue whatever interests them. Clain spends his days hunting down tech relics from before Fractale existed, with only his parents' Doppels—advanced holographic clones—for company. Then he meets Phryne, an actual human girl, and becomes instantly captivated. But she's being hunted by an anti-Fractale resistance group called The Lost Millenium. Before vanishing, she leaves a mysterious artifact with Clain and disappears. Determined to rescue her and return what she left behind, Clain sets out to track her down. His search pulls him deeper into the Fractale system itself, and uncovering the truth behind it turns out to be far more dangerous than he bargained for.
