Synopsis

Akira Akebono is a young competitor in a robot tournament where contestants battle with transforming animal-type robots. His goal is to win the Titan Belt—the tournament's ultimate prize—using a team of robots that can combine into Daigunder, a powerful robot created by his father, Professor Hajime Akebono. Competing alongside a girl named Haruka as Team Akira, he and his robots face off against rival teams. But their biggest threat comes from Ginzan, a robot controlled by the villainous Professor Maelstrom, who proves to be a formidable obstacle in their path to victory.
