Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre
An enormous prehistoric elephant goes on a rampage and dies in the aftermath, making international news. The sole survivor of the attack credits a lone, unarmed man for killing the beast—though he doesn't realize he's describing Yuujirou Hanma, the infamous "Ogre" and reigning strongest creature on Earth. Meanwhile, Yuujirou's 18-year-old son Baki is busy training against a giant praying mantis. Confident in his progress and dead-set on surpassing his father, Baki hatches a plan: he kidnaps the American President to force a confrontation. This lands him in Arizona State Prison, where the strongest man in the US—an inmate named Oliva Biscuit—is oddly allowed to come and go as he pleases. Baki challenges Oliva to test himself, but Oliva's more interested in his weird rivalry with Jun Guevaru, another prisoner who gets special privileges from the guards. Called "the Second," Guevaru's the only other inmate with that kind of status. Baki's now stuck learning the ropes of prison life, studying his fellow inmates, and waiting for his real shot to fight.
