Humans are driven by ambition and greed, waging endless wars throughout history while other races simply observe. Ashleen became an orphan caught in the crossfire of one such conflict, but was rescued by Muzaka, the werewolf lord. He abandoned his position and duties to travel with her and ensure her safety and happiness. Back home, however, other werewolves grew disgusted by Muzaka's compassion for humans. They began orchestrating wars of their own, and a shadowy organization emerged in the human world with plans to manipulate him. When the Union feeds him false information, Muzaka's rage turns squarely on humanity. Only one person might be able to stop him—Cadis Etrama Di Raizel, the Noblesse himself. But can even he reach his oldest friend before it's too late? This story takes place 820 years before the main Noblesse timeline. It reveals Muzaka's tragic past and the chain of events that forced the Noblesse into an indefinite sleep.
