Synopsis

Shiki Ryougi, Mikiya Kokutou, and Touko Aozaki start investigating a bomber after witnessing an explosion nearby. That night, Shiki gets a glimpse of him, and he becomes obsessed with her. He decides the only way to be rid of her is to play a deadly game of cat and mouse, trying to lure her to an abandoned parking garage. But bombs aren't his only weapon—he can see the future too, and he's determined to use that ability to kill her. A few days earlier, Shizune Seo, a student at Reien Girls' Academy, is heading home for summer break. While getting off a bus, she has a vision of a stranger nearby dying. She rushes to warn them and ends up meeting Mikiya, who manages to use her information to prevent the tragedy. In another case, an employee gets sent on an investigation job that includes his employer's 10-year-old daughter. But the person he's supposed to be investigating turns out to be connected to both of their pasts in ways neither expected. Mirai Fukuin weaves together stories from the main timeline of the Kara no Kyoukai films, plus one set further in the future.
