Synopsis

Manji is a legendary swordsman in feudal Japan infamous for killing a hundred innocent people—earning him the dreaded title "Hundred Man Killer." But what's truly terrifying about him isn't his reputation; it's that he can't die. An 800-year-old nun named Yaobikuni cursed him with immortality by implanting bloodworms in his body that can heal almost anything. Seeking redemption, Manji makes a deal: he'll kill a thousand evil men instead, and Yaobikuni promises to break the curse if he succeeds. Not long after, a 16-year-old girl named Rin Asano shows up asking for his help avenging her murdered parents. Manji initially blows her off, but her desperation and obvious helplessness change his mind. He agrees to protect her for four years. What follows is a brutal journey of blood, revenge, and attempted redemption—Manji hunting to reach his goal of a thousand kills while Rin seeks vengeance for her family.
