Synopsis

An ancient prophecy warns that disturbing the titans of ice, lightning, and fire will awaken Lugia, the sea's guardian, to restore balance to the world. A Pokémon collector named Gelardan becomes obsessed with this prophecy and hatches a plan to capture Lugia by awakening these three titans from his airship. His actions trigger catastrophic climate change across the globe—massive storms break out everywhere. One of these storms knocks the ship carrying trainers Ash, Misty, and Brock off course, stranding them on Shamouti Island. There, Ash learns about the prophecy and discovers he's been chosen as the one destined to help Lugia restore the world's balance. Now bearing the weight of the world, Ash has to find the courage to face the chaos threatening everything and take down Gelardan before it's too late.
