Kaiketsu Zorori Movie: ZZ no Himitsu
This is a 30th anniversary film for the Kaiketsu Zorori children's book series. Zorori builds an alarm clock to make sure he wakes up for free donuts. When he gets emotional thinking about his mother and tears up, something weird happens—the ZZ mark on his costume vanishes. That mark means everything to him since his mom put it there, even though he's never figured out what it stands for. After crashing into the street, Zorori and his buddies Ishishi and Noshishi are rescued by a fashion design student. Turns out she's Zororene—Zorori's mother. The alarm clock has somehow become a time machine and sent them into the past. With help from Zororene and later Zorori's father Zorondo Ron, the trio has to recover their time machine from both the police and a giant monster.
