Zorori is the fox protagonist of the series, voiced by Kōichi Yamadera (with Akira Kamiya handling the '93 short film). He's obsessed with becoming the King of Pranks to make his dead mother proud—a goal he pursues relentlessly throughout the story.
Despite calling himself a "Prankster Genius," Zorori's actual nature is pretty generous. He claims to only help people if there's something in it for him, but he consistently ends up solving problems for free and genuinely cares about others' wellbeing. It's one of his defining contradictions.
Visually, he rocks an Edo-period gambler aesthetic with a sandogasa hat and striped cape, but when things get serious, he switches into a Zorro-style outfit complete with a ZZ emblem on the chest. He's incredibly dextrous and handy—building gadgets and machines on the fly whenever he needs them.
He's got a weakness for anpan, and his disguise skills are basically his superpower.
