Synopsis

Ash Lynx is a 17-year-old gang leader with a dark past—he was taken off the streets of New York as a kid and raised by mafia godfather Dino Golzine. Now he's trying to track down what "Banana Fish" means, a phrase his older brother Griffin has been repeating ever since coming back from Iraq. But Dino isn't happy about Ash's snooping and sends people after him. While hiding out at an underground bar, Ash meets two Japanese photographers, Shunichi Ibe and Eiji Okumura, who are documenting street gangs in America. Before they can really talk, one of Ash's crew members warns him that Dino's men are coming. The situation goes south fast—Dino's guys raid the place and kidnap both Skip (Ash's friend) and Eiji in the chaos. Now Ash is caught between two problems: he needs to save his kidnapped friends and keep investigating Banana Fish. The real question is whether his past with Dino and the mafia will let him actually pull it off.
