Synopsis

Narumi Katou is a middle-aged guy dealing with ZONAPHA Syndrome, a bizarre condition that hits him with random, severe seizures—and the only thing that actually helps is watching someone laugh. One day at his part-time job, he gets knocked into by a young kid hauling a massive suitcase, running from three adults. The kid, Masaru Saiga, just inherited the massive Saiga Enterprises after his father died. Problem is, his own family wants him dead so they can grab the money. Narumi decides to help the kid escape, and things get weird fast. The three pursuers? They're not human—they're powerful, sentient puppets. Just when Narumi's about to lose the fight, a white-haired girl shows up and summons another puppet from Masaru's suitcase. She's Shirogane, apparently Masaru's guardian, and she's got serious combat skills. From there, the story follows these three unlikely allies as their paths twist together and apart. They're caught up in uncovering an old story tangled up in love, betrayal, and a conflict between humans and puppets that's been going on way longer than anyone realized.
