Synopsis

Sinbad is born in Tison Village, a poor corner of the Parthevia Empire, to Badr, a worn-out former soldier, and his compassionate mother Esra. His arrival causes a stir in the rukh—magical energy ripples outward, signaling to the world's most powerful mages that a "Child of Destiny" has been born. Life in the village is hard and marked by economic struggle and the lingering scars of war, but Sinbad grows up happy anyway. That changes when a stranger arrives and tragedy strikes his family. By the time Sinbad turns 14, mysterious structures called dungeons have started appearing across the world. Nobody knows exactly what they are, but rumors say they're filled with treasure and incredible power. The problem is, no one who's entered one has ever come back out. Despite this, Sinbad's developed into a charismatic and gifted kid. Driven by what happened to his family and inspired by his father's final words, he's desperate to leave the village and explore beyond its borders. As if fate itself was working behind the scenes, he meets Yunan, a mysterious traveler who seems to know more than he lets on. Yunan takes an interest in Sinbad's ambitions and tells him about a dungeon nearby—one that supposedly holds the "power of a king," exactly what Sinbad needs to change the world. Magi: Sinbad no Bouken follows Sinbad's journey as he travels the world, grows stronger, builds alliances, and ultimately works his way up to become the High King of the Seven Seas.
