Synopsis

Anne Shirley's got it rough. She's eleven, an orphan with a wild imagination and a temper to match. Then luck strikes—sort of. She ends up at the Cuthberts' place in Avonlea, except there's a problem: Marilla and Matthew were expecting a boy to help out on the farm, not a red-haired girl. This anime adaptation of L.M. Montgomery's classic follows Anne from age eleven to seventeen as she navigates life in Avonlea, forming and losing connections with the people around her. Along the way, she'll face a choice that'll completely reshape her future.
