Synopsis

Naofumi heads to Q'ten Lo with his companions to keep Raphtalia safe from assassins targeting her. On the way, he stops in Siltvelt, a kingdom founded by a previous shield hero, where the locals treat him like a god and try to convince him to take the throne. He's not interested. He's got bigger priorities—namely, stopping the next monster wave from wiping everyone out. But staying neutral proves impossible. Local politics drag him in anyway, and when someone tries to kill him, Naofumi decides he's done playing nice. He confronts Siltvelt's leadership to make it clear that their old feuds and personal ambitions don't matter. What matters is saving the world, and that's what he's focused on.
