Synopsis

Demon activity is spiking worldwide, and the Illuminati's corruption isn't helping. The Vatican decides to push up the annual Exorcist Certification Exam and open it to way more candidates than usual to deal with the problem. Lewin "Lightning" Light, one of the Vatican's top exorcists, shows up at True Cross Academy to get students ready for the test. He's so skilled that he catches the attention of Ryuuji "Bon" Suguro, who'd basically given up on his studies. Lewin takes him on as an apprentice, which surprises everyone. Things keep getting worse, so Rin and Yukio Okumura get sent on a mission to find Shura Kirigakure, an exorcist who's gone missing. Turns out she's trapped in some kind of ancient contract with a powerful, immortal demon hiding out in the snowy mountains of Aomori Prefecture.
