Synopsis

The kingdoms of Dolhr, Grust, and Gra unite to conquer Archanea, destroying Altea in the process. King Cornelius dies in the fighting, but his son Marth escapes thanks to his sister Elice's sacrifice. He and his retainers take shelter in Talys, an island kingdom that keeps them safe for the next three years. Marth settles into a quiet life there, befriending Caeda, the pegasus-riding princess. It's peaceful enough, but he knows it won't last—eventually he'll have to fight. That moment comes when Caeda rushes to warn him that the castle town is under attack. After a tense battle, Marth and his group manage to drive off the invaders and save the city. Worried that his presence is putting Talys in danger, Marth decides it's time to leave. He sets out to gather an army and take back his kingdom.
