Synopsis

Edward Elric gave everything—his body and soul—to save his brother Alphonse. Now he's stranded in Munich with no way home. The world around him is falling apart. Post-WWI Germany is a mess of economic collapse and despair, and Edward's alchemy doesn't work here anyway. Desperate and isolated, he throws himself into research, searching for any way out. The people he meets seem oddly familiar, like echoes of those he left behind. Meanwhile, the country itself is becoming a powder keg—humiliated and angry, with tensions spreading across Europe. Back home, Alphonse refuses to give up. He's determined to find his brother, diving deep into alchemy research, convinced that if he understands it well enough, he can finally bring Edward back.
