Synopsis

Patema lives as a princess in an underground colony, but she's bored out of her mind and desperate to see what's beyond the cramped, industrial tunnels. While sneaking around in a forbidden area, she startles some mysterious cloaked figure and tumbles into a bottomless pit. She wakes up in a really disorienting situation—the sky is under her feet and the ground is way above her head. Somehow gravity's working backwards, or at least it seems that way. A student named Age manages to pull her to safety, but now they're both confused about who's actually upside down.
