Several years after the original series, Mantarou Kinniku finds himself in an awkward position: he's the 59th prince of Planet Kinniku and the son of the legendary King Suguru. Problem is, Mantarou is basically the opposite of his father—lazy, immature, and a complete coward. When a dangerous organization called the dMP starts threatening Earth, someone needs to step up. Since nobody can find King Suguru, the plan becomes obvious: throw his kid into the ring instead. Mantarou hates the idea and bolts, heading to Earth to escape his responsibilities. That's where he runs into Meat, his father's old trainer. Despite Mantarou's obvious flaws, Meat recognizes something of King Suguru in him and decides the prince is worth coaching up. What follows is Mantarou's reluctant journey to grow stronger, get his act together, and somehow save the world in the process.
