Tomoya Aki is an otaku who's spent years collecting anime and light novels, getting deeply attached to their stories and characters. Now he wants to create that same experience for others by making his own visual novel—but he can't pull it off alone. He manages to recruit his childhood friend Eriri Spencer Sawamura as the artist and sharp-tongued literary snob Utaha Kasumigaoka as the writer, with himself directing. With his core team set, Tomoya just needs inspiration. He finds it when he meets Megumi Katou, a quiet, attractive girl who becomes the basis for his game's protagonist. Armed with nothing but determination and some basic knowledge, Tomoya forms a doujin circle to create a game that'll move people's hearts.
