Megumi's the girl Tomoya Aki spotted on a hilltop in a summer dress—one of those "fate brings them together" moments. He thought she was stunning, easily the prettiest person he'd seen, and the encounter lit a spark that made him want to create a dating sim with her as the lead character.
Turns out her actual personality is. completely ordinary. So unremarkable that Tomoya didn't even realize they were already classmates. She's got this almost invisible presence—people literally forget she's there. Not exactly the heroine material he'd imagined.
But despite the letdown, Megumi ended up agreeing to be the face of the game's main heroine anyway, which is how she got roped into the whole project.
