Synopsis

Sasuke follows a young ninja during the aftermath of the Battle of Sekigahara, when Tokugawa Ieyasu seized power and became shogun. The protagonist, Sarutobi Sasuke—whose name literally means "jump like monkey"—was a skilled ninja working under Sanada Daisuke on the losing side of the conflict. While history says he died by suicide when cornered in a castle, this story imagines he actually escaped. The twist is that "Sarutobi" isn't just one ninja's name—it's the name of an entire ninja clan.
