Synopsis

Team Rocket uses Mew's fossil to create Mewtwo, the first successfully cloned Pokémon. But Mewtwo quickly realizes it's been used and manipulated, and it doesn't take it well. After being exploited by Team Rocket's boss Sakaki, the angry clone becomes convinced that humans are cruel and untrustworthy, so it cuts itself off from the world and starts plotting revenge. To lure in the strongest trainers around, Mewtwo disguises itself as an unbeatable Pokémon trainer and challenges them to battles. When the situation spirals toward catastrophe, Satoshi, Takeshi, and Kasumi step up to face Mewtwo in a final battle—because apparently they're the only ones who can stop it from destroying everything.
