A compilation film featuring new scenes and different angles on the TV series story. Kakushi Gotou is a manga artist who makes pretty explicit stuff—the kind that gets him noticed in the industry, but also constantly stressed. When his daughter Hime was born, he decided right then that she could never know what he actually does for a living. He figured she'd lose all respect for him if she found out. This fear basically takes over his life. As a single dad, he's genuinely trying his best, but his desperation to keep the secret gets ridiculous. He goes to work disguised as a regular salaryman, runs surprise drills to make sure Hime never accidentally discovers his workplace, the whole nine yards. At its core, Kakushigoto is about a father and daughter just living their lives together, him doing whatever it takes to keep things stable and normal. But the thing is, secrets have a way of coming out eventually. As Hime gets older, she starts to figure out the truth about the life her dad's been hiding from her all this time.
