Synopsis

After a rough incident at her middle school band competition, Kumiko Oumae swore off playing euphonium for good. But when she gets to high school looking for a fresh start, she somehow ends up surrounded by people passionate about the brass band. With help from her new bandmates—including first-year tubist Hazuki Katou and the experienced contrabassist Sapphire Kawashima—plus old friends like her childhood buddy Shuuichi (now playing trombone) and her former middle school bandmate Reina on trumpet, Kumiko finds her motivation to play again. Even the band's vice president, euphonist Asuka Tanaka, becomes part of her support system. The problem? The band is kind of a mess. They want to make nationals, but right now they can barely handle competing in the local festival. Everything hinges on whether the new band advisor, Noboru Taki, can actually whip them into shape.
