Synopsis

The sky ninjas launch a surprise attack on the Hidden Leaf Village seeking payback against their old enemies. Naruto gets caught up helping Shinnou, a mysterious doctor, rescue an injured person and bring them to the hospital. There he meets Amaru, a hot-headed kid from the next village over who's also desperately looking for Shinnou. While the attackers pull back to regroup, Tsunade sends a strike team—Kakashi, Shikamaru, and Sai—to take out their base. At the same time, she assigns Naruto, Sakura, and Hinata to escort Shinnou and Amaru on a separate mission. Behind the scenes, Orochimaru has his own agenda: he orders Sasuke to track down the doctor who knows the reincarnation technique. As the escort group digs deeper, they uncover what's really going on behind the attacks and things spiral fast. Even when Naruto comes face-to-face with someone from his past, he stays focused on ending the conflict and all the destruction it's causing.
